Miniature Sheepadoodle

Created by crossing the Old English Sheepdog and the Miniature Poodle, the Miniature Sheepadoodle has quickly gained popularity.

The Miniature Sheepadoodle is a small breed weighing 22-55lbs and measuring 13-20 inches in height. This breed stands tall and confident with a coat of curly to shaggy hair that is thick. Their coat is available in multiple solid colors, bi-colors and merle patterns due to the Poodle genetics. Their round eyes are black to brown in color. Their two ears are oval in shape and hang softly alongside of their head. Their nose is black to brown in color. Their tail is long and is carried up and over their back.

The Miniature Sheepadoodle is a fantastic addition to any active family but please remember that due to genetics, this breed does instinctively herd, and will try doing so with small animals and children. This breed is a working breed by genetics so it is important to remember that they need a job to do and they are high energy. Daily training and proper mental and phsyical exercise is absolutely necessary to maintain proper balance within the home. Early socilazation and early puppy training classes are highly reccomended. This breed does not do well when left alone for long periods of time. They are a very loyal, loving breed.

The Miniature Sheepadoodle sheds very little. Daily brushing is required to avoid matting in their hair. Regular professional grooming is highly recommended.

Please fully educate yourself about this breed prior to adding one to your family to ensure a life long commitment physically and financially for your new dog. A proper leash and harness or properly fenced in yard is highly recommended for your new addition. All dogs originate from wolves (Canis Lupus). Each breed of dog was originally created by mixing different breeds together in an effort to bring forth certain characteristics. Dog DNA testing companies can have accurate results for a specific bloodline of a small colony of dogs. However, there are tens of thousands of different bloodlines in the world which have not yet been tested for marker baseline results by Dog DNA testing companies as of 2024. For this reason Dog DNA testing companies do not guarantee the 100% accuracy of their breed lineage results and will also show different marker results for the same pure-bred breed in different continents, countries, territories, regions, breed clubs, and canine pure-breed registries depending on the goals of their breeders.
